Megan Buchanan

Megan Buchanan’s poetry collection, Clothesline Religion, was nominated for the 2018 Vermont Book Award. Her writing has appeared in The Sun Magazine, ITERANT, make/shift, and many other publications including recent anthologies. She’s also a dancer, singer and creator of collaborative performance projects, usually about nuclear waste and watersheds. Born in coastal Southern California, she’s lived in the mountains of Northern Arizona, in the west of Ireland, and for almost sixteen years in Vermont. Her most recent project, REGENERATIONS: Reckoning with Radioactivity, was created during a residency at the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center. She’s currently the Director of the Learning Center at Stratton Mountain School where she works with inspiring, elite teenaged snowsport athletes with learning exceptionalities.
Robert S. Foote

Robert S. Foote
Robert S. Foote is a retired physician and has lived in Hartland for many years. He is the author of a number of scientific research papers and essays and has been writing poetry since high school. His poems have been published in Dartmouth Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, UCLA Anthology of Poetry by Physicians, The San Diego Reader,various literary journals, and on “The Writer’s Almanac” on National Public Radio.



Laura Jean Gilloux

Laura Jean (she/her) is a poet, musician, and singer/songwriter. Her poetry is rooted in memory and the everyday moments of her life as a mother and Vermonter. She is a graduate student in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College. Her music is best described as “city-folk.” Part farmer’s market, part Chelsea Market. She’s also a member of the good-time bluegrass band Reckless Breakfast. When she’s not writing or performing, Laura Jean serves as the Program Manager for the Literary Arts Bridge at Dartmouth College. She lives in Wilder with her husband, two young sons, and an extraordinary amount of boardgames
Taylor Mardis Katz

Taylor Mardis Katz is a poet, herb farmer, and shopkeeper living in Chelsea, VT. A native New Yorker, she has lived in Vermont since 2012, when she and her partner started Free Verse Farm, an herb farm and apothecary that has since expanded into a brick-and-mortar shop in downtown Chelsea. Taylor’s poems have been published in a variety of literary journals and nontraditional periodicals, recited on radio stations across the state, featured on the podcast Brave Little State, and shown up in all sorts of wild and whimsical places. While still in the process of finding a home for her first full-length manuscript, she is working to publish a letterpress chapbook with a local printmaker this year.
Arthur Lipner

Arthur Lipner is a prolific artist whose world has no creative boundaries. He began writing music at age six and fiction as an early teen. VIBES in VERSE, a collection of poems and short stories published several months ago, is Arthur’s first literary work amongst numerous popular music educational books. With some pieces resembling the beat poet tradition, Arthur shares his observations and road stories as a veteran touring and recording musician. Over 100 Lipner compositions have been released. His 80+ overseas tours include Brazil (18) and Asia (5). Arthur’s 39th Europe tour was in 2024.
